Lakeland Valley Goats

Lakeland Valley Goats Sustainably produced British goat meat and cashmere in the Lake District. I run my own business producing goat meat and cashmere fibre. Goat meat is healthy.

Every decision I make running my farm is based on environmental, economic and social sustainability. I farm on about 50 acres of rough fell ground on the edge of the Lake District National Park. It's better for you than beef and lamb, being lower in cholesterol, and it's packed full of protein. And it doesn't have to be curried. My goats are butchered at under a year old, about the same age you'd

eat lamb, so they don't taste too 'goaty'. I have just finished a Nuffield Farming Scholarship which took me around the world looking at goat meat enterprises, so you could say I know my onions!
