Our supper club with Kathy Slack last night got us thinking.
When did it become too much to ask to know where our food came from? To eat with the seasons. To slow down long enough to notice what’s growing around us.
The conversation wandered from vegetable patches to nervous systems, from burnout to belonging. But it kept returning to the same idea: food tastes different when there’s a connection behind it.
Maybe it’s not too much to ask after all.
