This Saturday evening is Trivia Night,
Come and see how many you can get right.
Everyone’s welcome from far and wide,
Though you may still have to come down Eskdaleside.

A wonderful resident has organised this event,
At St Matthew’s Church and not in a tent.
All funds raised will help keep us running,
As we all know, a tough time is coming.

It was approaching close to midnight,
With the moon glowing oh so bright.
We opened the shop and turned on the light,
So we could share with you this wonderful sight.

Our village asleep, not making a sound,
Just a beautiful place to be around.

In Grosmont there’s plenty to see and do,
With a friendly face to welcome you.
The Co-op keeps the village stocked with cheer,
The Treasure Trove has bargains year after year.

The Station Tavern serves a pint just right,
Dave Edge Model Trains are a lovely sight.
Geall Gallery brings colour and art,
The Crossing Club is where good times start.

The Old School Coffee Shop for coffee and cake,
Vi’s Community Cafe makes a welcome break.
So shop, eat, drink and have a great day,
Support local businesses along the way ❤️

Grosmont Wedding

Tomorrows’s the wedding, the big day is near,
For a wonderful couple, the village holds dear.
The suits have been pressed, the flowers look bright.
And someone’s still asking, will it be alright.

The cakes all prepared, the rings are in sight,
Man and wife they will be by tomorrow night.
Let’s take a moment to wish them both well,
With love, laughter and a wedding day bell ❤️
