Cooler evenings require a warm tasty pudding in my house, so this week I’m looking at Bramleys for an apple pie and custard, Pineapples for upside down sponge and fresh figs with warm honey, yoghurt and walnut’s. What’s your go to ?

Rolling into apple season with English Cox and Royal Gala on the stall tomorrow. Seasonal and fresh, there’s nothing better. Kale, plums, beetroot, leeks and courgettes are just some of Septembers harvest.

Last week we stepped back into the autumn school term, normality returns and you’ve once again got the capacity to grab a coffee, a bit of me time and then have a mooch around the best fruit and veg stall in Hertfordshire. Beautiful seasonal produce fresh from the morning wholesale markets. The figs are great, the sweetcorn and berries wonderful. Pop along and take some plums home for after school treats 😀.
