Here's a tempting street food recipe...Vada Pavs
Vada Pavs are mashed potato burgers - enough said...🤤
You'll need: 1 x Bhajia Pack, 6 bread rolls, oil, 750g old, floury potatoes, some butter and milk (to create the mash), 1 x Bombay Potato Spice Mix and your favourite chutney (we'd recommend our Lime Chutney)
Instructions:
1. Boil the potatoes. When they're boiling, add the Bombay Spice Mix into a frying pan.
2. Gently toast the spices with some oil, then add the boiled potatoes, and a little butter and milk to taste. Then mash. Leave to cool
3. Form the cold mashed potato into round golf ball-sized balls (12-15)
4. Coat each mashed potato ball in the Bhajia batter.
5. Deep fry in batches in hot oil for 1-2 minutes, until the potato balls are golden brown all over.
6. To serve, split the bread rolls in half (toast them in you want a crunchier texture) and fill with your chosen chutney and the vada (potato ball). Squish it closed and enjoy!
