Pembrokeshire Oysters 🦪
There are only 24 products in Wales currently enjoying PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) status, and our Pembrokeshire oysters are one of them.
Pembrokeshire Rock Oysters and Pembrokeshire Native Oysters have gained recognition for their quality and sustainability. PGI is the UK's mark of authenticity, regional identity, and quality. This status ensures that only oysters grown and processed in the designated area can use the name, protecting the heritage and quality of the small Welsh industry. Both oysters have won Great Taste Awards and are now served in top restaurants across the UK. The Pembrokeshire Rock Oysters are available year-round, prized for their delicate clean brine, cucumber freshness, and subtle citrus notes.
Wystrys Sir Benfro 🦪
Dim ond 24 o gynhyrchion sydd â statws PGI (Dynodiad Daearyddol Gwarchodedig) yng Nghymru ar hyn o bryd, ac mae wystrys Sir Benfro yn eu plith.
Mae Wystrys y Graig Sir Benfro ac Wystrys Brodorol Sir Benfro wedi ennill cydnabyddiaeth am eu ansawdd a'u cynaliadwyedd. PGI yw marc dilysrwydd, hunaniaeth ranbarthol ac ansawdd y DU. Mae’r statws hwn yn sicrhau mai dim ond wystrys sy'n cael eu tyfu a'u prosesu yn yr ardal ddynodedig all ddefnyddio'r enw, gan ddiogelu treftadaeth ac ansawdd y diwydiant bach yng Nghymru. Mae'r ddau fath o wystrys wedi ennill Gwobrau Great Taste ac maen nhw bellach yn cael eu gweini mewn bwytai o fri ledled y DU. Mae Wystrys y Graig Sir Benfro ar gael drwy gydol y flwyddyn. Maen nhw’n cael eu gwerthfawrogi am eu heli glân cain, ffresni ciwcymbr, a blas sitrws cynnil.
