It’s market day tomorrow but in the meantime here’s a bit about our fantastic flower growers!

Blossoms and Berries is a flower farm and floral design studio based in the foothills of the Preselis.

Simon and Clare moved to Wales in 2020 with the vision of holistically managing a piece of land as a pollinator friendly, chemical free growing space for flowers, working in harmony with nature and the seasons.

“In 2018 when Simon was coming to the end of a 24 year military career we realised we had an opportunity to change our lives for the better and create something meaningful that would contribute positively towards the environment and enable us to be self-sustaining, a bit like The Good Life.
We’ve always loved West Wales and knew this was where we wanted to spend the rest of our lives, so we took a leap of faith, bought some land in the Preselis and began crafting the dream of growing beautiful, high quality flowers that we can then turn into wild and natural floral designs for our lovely Farmers Market customers.”

Over 80% of flowers sold in the UK are imported from the Dutch wholesale markets and have a high carbon footprint.

Flowers grow really well in Wales and as part of the British Flowers Movement, Simon and Clare’s vision is to give local people an alternative choice to supermarket flowers.

Looking for a mid-week dinner option? Try Cuckoo Mill Farm’s home-made stuffed turkey fillets, made with breadcrumbs, cranberries and sausage meat.

Emily rustled up a platter of turkey stuffed fillet, along with their ‘Mama’s salad’ and new potatoes for supper 😋
