Planet Pie was born off the back off a five month journey around India and South East Asia, where we fell in love with the food and people alike. We embarked on cooking courses wherever we went and soaked up as much knowledge as the local chefs were willing to part with! At Planet Pie we aim to recreate our favourite dishes from around the world using only the freshest, local (where possible!) ing
redients and bring them to you in a delicious deep filled, pastry topped pie. Because we're British and we love pie. We carefully consider each aspect of our business, and the way in which it affects the environment and the people in it. On our travels round India we witnessed the destructive effect that improper disposal of waste has upon a community, so with that in mind we chose minimal packaging, of which everything (currently excluding the film lid) can be recycled. The use of local products is deliberate, not only to support our local community, but to help lower our impact on the environment. We use herbs from our own garden, and compost all of our biodegradable waste.
