Do you have spare time and fancy doing something a bit different & worthwhile?
We have lots of different volunteering roles, some may lead to paid worker if successful, such as:
- Administrator, implementing charity status procedures, grant applications, fundraising, and sponsorship.
Other tasks include:
• Covering our cafe shack at weekends, serving visitors.
• DIY support with the never-ending repairs caused mostly by the pigs.
• Helping to care for our 4 turkeys and small pigs in our adjacent wood (someone local would be ideal) ☺️.
• Helping care for our pigs, goats, chickens & cockerel in our main wood.
• Supporting events, which can include planning, themed decorations. running a stall, baking, and contributing to creative ideas.
• Woodland management.

HAAPY NEW YEAR FEOM THE RUSTY HEN HERWS MY UBER FOR THE NIGHT OUR CHARLIE !! So big shop for our little shop in the next couple of days and we are back open !!!!!’ Thank you to everyone I opened the shop thinking even if I get just a few customers a week it’s fine …. Summer time was UNREAL!!!! UNREAL!!! .. but unfortunately yes unfortunately there’s only one of me so this winter has been a slow one but I needed this year to learn what goes and what doesn’t and I know I just need to sort the electric issue out and we are in full swing .. so anyone with experience on electrics I’m here for it .. and to all enjoy and il see you all on the other side … 2026!!!
