🥚🦆 Duck Egg Update 🦆🥚

My goodness, look what a few weeks can do! 💛

These little ones are only around six or seven weeks old and they’re already nearly as big as Mum. Where does the time go?

Part of the reason duck eggs have been in shorter supply recently is because several of our girls have decided that motherhood comes first! We’ve had a couple of broody Muscovy girls, and now a couple of our Runners have decided to join the club too. 🥰

The good news is that we’ve fulfilled all our regular orders and have duck eggs available Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

🥚 Duck eggs – £2.50 for 4.
They’ll be stocked up and available from tomorrow morning onwards. If you’d like any putting aside, just send me a message. Otherwise, feel free to pop by and leave the cash in the usual place.

Whether you’re planning a weekend bake or simply fancy a proper fried egg sandwich, you know where we are!

🦆🥚 Another week, another broody girl at Bushwood Acres! 🥚🦆

Meet Mel and Kim, named after the iconic 80s sister duo 🎶😂. Well, these girls have decided motherhood is far more important than laying eggs!

A little apology to anyone who missed out on duck eggs last week. Please don’t worry if you have a regular weekly order with us, your eggs are safely reserved 🥰

For everyone who likes to pop by for duck eggs, I’ll be posting morning updates over the next couple of weeks to let you know when we have some spare boxes available.

🐓🥚 Bushwood Acres Egg Update 🦆🥚

We’re just sorting through freshly laid eggs from yesterday and today, and packing up orders ready for tomorrow morning 🧺✨

It’s been such a busy few weeks here (thank you all so much 💛), and with more walkers, ramblers, and visitors passing by, our eggs are going very quickly!

To make sure our regulars don’t miss out, the best way to get eggs now is to reserve ahead:

👉 Drop us a message
👉 Let us know what you’d like (chicken or duck 🐓🦆)
👉 And which day you’d like to collect

We’ll pop them aside, label them up, and have them ready waiting for you 📦

Good news—there will be a small number of eggs available tomorrow (Wednesday) for anyone passing by, but once they’re gone, they’re gone… so reserving is always the safest way to avoid disappointment.

“Breaking news from Bushwood Acres…

The ducks have, quite unexpectedly, chosen order over chaos this morning 😁

Every single one laid neatly in their houses.
Which means…

✨ clean duck eggs ✨

Yes. Clean.

No hedge-hunting.
No muddy treasure trails.
No ‘what exactly am I picking up here?’ moments.

Runners (with those beautiful duck egg blues), Appleyards, Khaki Campbells and Muscovies all present, all behaving, all clearly in a very organised mood.

Regulars will understand just how rare this is…
I won’t question it, I’ll just enjoy it while it lasts 😄

We’ve got a fresh batch today — £2.50 for 4 duck eggs.
If you’d like some, just drop us a message and we can reserve them for you to collect.

I’ll be setting some aside for our regular Monday walkers, but let me know if you’d like me to pop some in the box for you.”

Bushwood Acres 🌱

We’re still busy planting up for the season ahead.

Last year, the green & yellow tomatoes were a real favourite, and I know a few people missed out, so I’ll be growing more this year to keep up with demand 🌿

I’ve also had quite a few requests for mixed salad trays (tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, spring onions etc.) rather than buying individually.

I’d love to hear your thoughts as to what combinations would you enjoy, and what sort of sizes/prices would work for you?
