🌟 🌟 There’s so much happening in store to support our local community at the moment!🌟 🌟

🍎 Free fruit for kids is back! If you’re shopping with little ones, don’t forget to pop by and pick up a free apple.

🛍️ Our Food Donation Bags have returned for the holidays. Simply pick up a pre-filled bag, scan it at the till, then place it in our donation bin by the checkouts. Every bag helps support local families in need.

💙 Have your say with our Blue Token Scheme. There’s still time to vote for your chosen local organisation by dropping your blue tokens into the voting units at the self-service checkouts.

🎒 We’re also a drop-off point for the Back to School Kit Appeal. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference. Whether it’s a ruler, a pack of pencils, pens, or notebooks, your generosity will help local children start the new school year with the essentials they need.

🌟 We’re delighted to have donated a raffle prize for this brilliant community event at the Oxford Arms on Saturday 25th July! 🎟️

It’s set to be a fantastic day out for the whole family, with a tasty BBQ, a bouncy castle, games, and plenty of fun for everyone. 🍔🏰🎉

As the new school year approaches, we’re working together with Hereford Food Bank UK to support families across Herefordshire who are accessing local foodbanks by providing children with essential school supplies. Every single donation, big or small, makes a real difference! ❤️

How you can help:
1. Pick an age group: Age 5–7, Age 8–11, or Age 12–16

2. Choose a few items from the checklist: https://haloleisure.org.uk/news-blog/back-2-school-kit-appeal-2026/

3. Drop off your donations: Leave them with us at reception or at Tesco Hereford 1 Community before the deadline!

We all know that getting everything ready for a new school year can be a real challenge for many families. That's why we've teamed up with Rebecca Morpeth and Hereford Food Bank UK to launch our Back to School Kit
Appeal 2026! 💙
If you're popping into store, we'd love it if you could add an extra pack of pencils, a notebook, pens, or any other school essentials to your shopping. Every single donation, no matter how big or small, will help give loca children the best possible start to the new school year ❤️

You can also drop donations off at Hereford Leisure Centre, making it even easier to get involved!

☀️🍓 A few weeks ago, the wonderful team at Home-Start Herefordshire got in touch to ask if we could help make their Summer Social Celebration extra special by donating scones and jam for their afternoon tea.

We were absolutely delighted to help! 🫖💙

It was lovely to receive these fantastic photos of everyone enjoying a well-deserved afternoon together. The celebration was made even more special as three incredible members of staff were recognised for an amazing 20 years of service! 👏🎉

A huge congratulations from all of us at Tesco Hereford 1 Community – and thank you for letting us be a small part of such a wonderful celebration! 💙

🎉☀️ On Friday, we had the pleasure of meeting Emma from Mordiford CE School PTFA, who stopped by to collect our donations for their Summer Fair.

We were delighted to donate a selection of soft drinks, bags of ice, and a raffle prize to help make the day even more special. 🥤🧊🎁
We hope everyone had a fantastic time, the sun was shining, and the event raised lots of money to support the school. A huge well done to everyone involved in organising what we’re sure was a brilliant day! 💙🌞
