Trussing a chicken. Something you’ll never see done for you in a supermarket.

When we prep a chicken for sale, it’s done properly. Trussed, neat, ready to go straight in the oven and cook evenly. It’s a small detail that makes a real difference to how it cooks and how it looks on the table.

And that’s the point really. In a supermarket the chicken is processed, packaged and done. Here, it’s prepared by someone who actually knows what they’re doing and takes pride in it.

Better quality bird. Properly prepared. Advice available if you want it. And cut however you need it, whole, halved, quartered, filleted. Just ask.

That’s the difference a proper butcher makes.

I’ll be straight with you…

tripe is not for me. Not even a little bit. 😄

But many love it. And this one came in on special request, honeycomb tripe, cow’s stomach lining, and exactly what our customer asked for.

That’s what we do. Give us a day or two’s notice and we can get pretty much anything you want. Whatever your community, whatever your cuisine, we’ll do our best to get it in for you.

Using a supermarket is easy. We get it. But look at this counter.

Pies, steaks, fresh mince, marinades, all made properly, all in store, no shortcuts. And once you’ve tasted the difference, that’s kind of it isn’t it. No going back.

Whether you’re local to us or not, find your nearest butcher and use them. Support local, eat better. Simple as that.
