Warm weather is on the horizon, just in time for Bank Holiday Monday and half term☀️ Whether you’re planning a BBQ, a picnic or a simple salad, I have a range of lovely fresh light summer cheeses including sheep’s, goat’s and softs.
New season Pyghtle is back in, a soft lactic sheep’s cheese made by Emily Tydeman at Initially delicate with a light fruity flavour, it becomes more savoury and complex as it matures.
The semi-soft St Helena is also back in with a gentle milky sweetness. Made at .judecheese by Blake Bowden and Julie Cheyney in Norfolk.
Halloumi type, Sutton Brue will BBQ and grill beautifully whilst feta-like Wissington is delicious crumbled into salads.
If you’re looking for something a bit punchier, cider washed Yarlington from or brine washed St Cera fit the bill; both oozy, pungent and fruity with farmyardy notes.
Pop into the shop this weekend; I’ll be there today, Friday and Saturday 10-3pm. Then on Sunday I’m at 9-1pm🧀
