After more than 17 years of enjoyment, and after much thought, Barry has now decided it is time to change his beloved Defender for something else. It's something he's been mulling over for a bit, and now seemed the right time.
For my part I feel quite emotional and not because I loved driving it, (I just didn't drive it), or because of its great comfort (I have often felt that I need spinal surgery after a journey!!) but because he had always wanted one, and after taking over the shop in 2008 he was finally able to realise that dream.
Also the Grandchildren loved 'Grandad's Truck'. They've had the replica toys and the t-shirts and would always point out the one buried in the display at the dinosaur park. They all feel a little bit sad, so we thought we would immortalise all our memories with a photo ❤️
He had his final wave with a fellow Defender driver on our way to pick up the new vehicle this morning. Hopefully after quite a bit of tlc, someone will love it as much as we have done🥰
