Well...we ate, we drank and most of us left feeling rather merry 😉🍷

Yesterday marked a very special day for us as we officially launched our new wine collection, supplied by Laithwaites!

Ben & Sarah created the most incredible handmade canapés:
✨ Bavette steak with horseradish cream on Melba toast
✨ Truffle salami and Lincolnshire Vintage Poacher with fig conserve
✨ Breaded Cote Hill Blue with berry gel

A big thank you to Marein, whose knowledge and passion for wine made the day even more enjoyable 😆

Thank you to everyone who was involved in the building & creating process of our new display, bringing our vision to life 🫶🏼

To our extended Shearer's team - thank you for always lending a hand and supporting us!
And to every single person who walked through our door yesterday and continues to support our business, we couldn't do this without you all 😌

If you'd told us a few years ago that we'd be stocking wine, never mind hosting our very own wine tasting event, we'd never have believed you!

Ben has been crowned World’s Second Best Butcher 2026 👑

So, of course the Saturday team had to crack open the bubbles 🥂 (sorry Rob 🤭)

For those who don’t know, Ben is currently in Sydney, Australia competing against butchers from all around the world in the Butcher Wars! His incredible display, “Skindeep,” was inspired by tattoos and he had to create the entire piece while out there! We are so proud of you, Ben 🥰

And a Happy Bank Holiday to you all! Thank you to everyone who has walked through our doors this weekend 🌞 it’s truly humbling and we’re so grateful for all of your support!! 🙏🏼

Just a reminder that we’re open tomorrow until 12, then closed Monday!

The Shearer Archives: A special piece of our history has been brought back to life ✨

When we built our new shop, we also had Gerald Shearer’s old stool re-upholstered! A piece discovered in his former office and one we believe he may have had since childhood, dating all the way back to 1938 😲
To see it restored so beautifully is something truly special to us 🤗

Every corner of our new shop tells a story. And now, this stool takes pride of place in our shop, where customers can sit and share in a small but meaningful part of our Shearer heritage...another glimpse into our past that continues to live on today 😌

A heartfelt thank you to Patch & Plum Upholstery, a local Lincolnshire business, for her incredible craftsmanship and for helping us preserve such an important piece of our ongoing story 💙
