You may remember a few weeks ago we promised to donate £1 from every 1lb of sausage sold to support our nephew's fundraising efforts for STAMMA, a charity organisation working to support people who live with a stammer. Well, today we are very proud to let you know that Myles completed the Manchester 10K, his first official run. He absolutely flew round the course (he was so speedy we actually missed him at the first cheer point!) and came home with an impressive PB of 41mins 7secs placing him in the top 50 of his age/gender category. As much as we are exceptionally proud of his epic achievement, we are prouder still that he chose to share his personal journey to raise awareness for fellow stammerers.

Thank you to everyone who bought sausage, and to those of you who were kind enough to sponsor him - we are incredibly thankful for your support. Myles has added the funds from our sausage collection to his pot and has raised a huge £874 in total. Thank you so much to every person who helped him achieve this, these funds will make a massive difference in allowing STAMMA to continue their incredible work.

Good morning! And happy Friday 😊.

We don't share too much personal stuff on our page but this one definitely deserves it's own post.

Our awesome nephew, Myles, is running the Greater Manchester 10k on 31st May. Since the age of 3 Myles has had a stammer, and for 15 years has faced difficulties in communication that most of us never dream of having to overcome. Stammers and stutters affect confidence and self esteem and can make social situations and interactions stressful. Rather than hide from his stammer, Myles has faced his challenges and uniqueness head on, and we're exceptionally proud of him. That's why this weekend, today and tomorrow, we'll be donating £1 for every lb sold of our Traditional Thin Pork Sausage to STAMMA, to support Myles's fundraising for this amazing charity who are changing lives for the next generation. Raising awareness is vital in order to help break stigmas and we hope this post plays a very small part in that.
