Hi everyone

The wedding and our stay in Scotland was magnificent. We are now back and the shop will be open as usual.

This week we have:

JERSEY ROYAL POTATOES

They are more expensive than the regular potatoes, but they are early new potatoes. Last year they were very popular and delicious.

The fresh produce looks amazing.
Sadly, Orchard Growers, who supply our mushrooms, were unable to fulfill their order this week. It is hoped that this will be remedied next week. We all love the mushrooms!

After the stocktake at the end of March/beginning of April we have restocked so the shelves are back to full. If you notice any items still missing, please let Liz know so that they may be included in the next order.

Welcome to Easter Weekend

Our current pricelist can be viewed on our website and in the shop. We have a few extras to our usual fruit and veg this week; Paul has highlighted those.

The bread orders will be available for collection as usual on Friday and Saturday.
A small selection of bread will be for general sale; please see in store.

Other items include:

Fresh dairy produce

Store cuboard essentials

Teas and infusions

Household cleaning items

Refills of household cleaning items

Personal hygiene products including some refills

Cordials and non-alcoholic beverages

Etc

REMINDER:

The shop is closed next weekend, 9th, 10th & 11th April while Liz and Paul attend a family wedding in Scotland.
The shop will be open as usual on 16th April and thereafter.
Orders for bread, milk, eggs, etc for 16th 17th and 18th are being taken from now. Please message Liz or see her in the shop; she will respond when your order has been included in the list.

Please note:
Next weekend is Easter weekend.
We are open our usual hours:
Thursday 2-5pm
Friday 11am - 5.30pm
Saturday 10am - 4.30pm

Next week there will be Hot Cross Buns available to order. Please let me know by Tuesday evening, 31st March, if you require those or any other bread orders.

Please remember also:
The shop is closed for the weekend of 9th, 10th & 11th April while Paul and Liz attend their daughter’s wedding (in Scotland!) and will reopen on 16th April as normal.

Happy Thursday
The sun is shining for a brief while. How long it will stay is anyone’s guess, but enjoy it while it’s here.

The shop is open today from 2pm until 5.30pm
Friday: 11am to 5.30pm
Saturday: 10am to 4.30pm
Outside these hours, ring the bell at the shop and if we are home we will serve you. Or you can call me on 07921 399216.

All bread orders have been submitted for Friday and Saturday and can be collected during our opening hours (see above).

Fresh fruit, vegetables and dairy are available from today.

REMINDER:

The shop is open normal hours over Easter weekend, 2nd, 3rd & 4th April.

THE SHOP WILL BE CLOSED 9th, 10th & 11 th April

Reopening the following week, 16th, 17th & 18th April.

Good morning

Today we have all our usual produce as per the list on the website and in the shop.

Fresh bread from The Rise, Buckley.
Bread orders for today will be available for collection from 11am. Any bread left over is frozen that evening and is available to purchase during the week if required; useful in emergency bread situations. Bread is not kept on the shelf and sold the next day. The only exception to that is if a customer neglects to collect their bread order on the day for which it was ordered, when we will either keep it until the following day at their request or freeze it for them, again, at their request.
Uncollected bread orders must be paid for in full.
The Rise is a small traditional bakery and everything is fresh baked daily.
The Rise also has a lovely cafe. It is well worth a visit if you are in Buckley. Leaflets for The Rise are available in the shop.

We have a greater selection of cheeses in the fridge this week. All of the dairy produce is available to order as well.

Order sheets for bread and dairy are available in the shop. Please ask.

Any specific orders for items not kept routinely in the shop are also available to order, including bulk items. For example: we have a few customers who like to order a sack of oats rather than purchase it in small retail packs. The same is true of nuts and dried goods.
Also unusual items can be ordered if they are available from our suppliers.
Please talk to Liz in the shop if this facility would be of use to you.

REMINDER:

The Shop will be closed on the weekend of 9th, 10th and 11th of April as Liz & Paul have a family wedding to attend in Scotland.

We will be back the weekend after, all systems go!

All the usual store cupboard items plus a few luxury ones

Honey now reduced to £6.50 a jar from £8 for the Lent period. Offer closes at Easter.

A reminder that the shop will be closed the weekend after Easter (9th, 10th, 11th April 2026) for a family wedding. We will be open again the following week.

We have some of last years honey left. In order to make space for this season’s anticipated production, we are reducing the price per jar from £8 to £6.50. Once it’s gone we’ll have to wait for the new honey so grab a bargain whilst stocks last.

Happy Saturday

Spring is here! I know because my first daffodil is in bloom with the others not far behind… and just in time for St Davids Day!

All bread orders are ready for collection
