Alba's Of Hungerford, are looking for a Saturday person to work in our shop. They must be ok with the cold as will be cleaning the fridge. The job mainly consists of washing up. Hours are 10am to 2pm every Saturday.. Great way to introduce someone to the work place. Please PM the shop or pop in to enquire.

Summer is finally here, so I can do proper BBQ'S again. Last nights offering was a Spatchcocked Cotswold White Free Range Chicken. Lightly marinaded with Angus and Oink Feather Duster. Cooked skin side down to crisp up the skin, and then( not my idea may I say) placed on top off crusty bread off heat to finish off the cook. All those Chicken dripping get soaked up by the bread.... NAUGHTY. Served with grilled vegetables and Steamed new potatoes with butter and chives. All washed down with a bottle of wine.

We have a mega weekend ahead. Weather is glorious, so we have been working hard all week to bring you the best going....

Good morning. Orders are now being taken for Easter, all the usual suspects available. We have all Lamb cuts available, English Beef, English Pork and Free-range Chickens. We will sell out of Lamb so ease order if needed. Give us a call on 01488 680970 for pop in the shop.

Morning.. So not a good weekend.. AGAIN. At some point the rain will stop. But in the mean time, why not do a Sunday Roast to lighten the mood. We have all the meats, I know I will be doing Topside this week end , cooked rare, with goose fat roasties and home made Yorkshire puddings. Yom yom !!!!

Who says you can't BBQ in November!!! Rolled Ribeye, this is a tester session for the Alba household on Christmas day! It's provrn to be a winner for sure. On the C word thing. We have to put our Poultry order in, meaning all Turkey, Chicken, Goose and Duck products on the 29th November. I have been informed by the suppliers due to the onset of bird flu, that their supply chain is challenged this year which means our requirement will be to order as early as possible so we can guarantee your Christmas delights! Give us a call or come in to the shop to place your orders.. we would appreciate no orders be made over Facebook.
