There are records of a flourishing market in Hyde as far back as 1848 which was "numerously attended by the residents of the populous districts around". Except the whole Town Centre is bigger, brighter and even busier, with the market ground, boasting almost 100 stalls, right in the centre of town, opposite the Town Hall. Like Ashton, the town centre is flat, with good disabled access. There are a

lso various car parks which are within easy walking distance, with plenty of disabled parking facilities. On Hyde Market, you will be greeted with its "hustle and bustle and village-like atmosphere!" Don't forget the busy Flea Market on Mondays for extra value. The entrance to Hyde Market Hall is on the main Mall of the Clarendon Shopping Centre, right next to the Outdoor Market.

70 stalls offer a wide range of food, including fresh meat, fruit and vegetables and a tripe specialist. As well as clothing, household goods and lots lots more.
