Multi Award winning Zero waste shop, Refillery and cafe - Aberdeenshire’s first! Hi everyone, thank you for taking the time to visit the Butterfly effect page.

My name is Lauren and I own this amazing new Zero waste shop, refillery and café in Insch

It only takes small changes to make a big difference and I am hoping you will join me in the journey to a better planet – plastic free whenever possible

Along with the zero waste shop and refillery – the café will be stocked with locally home baked goods (including Vegan Bay Baker) to tickle all taste bu

ds as well as light lunches and refreshments in a relaxed and inviting setting

There will also be an enclosed (gated) outside seating area which will be equipped with mud kitchen and sand pit – to keep the little ones entertained

Products

Refillable dried goods, affordable and plastic free
Nuts, seeds, pulses, grains and beans
Household goods – refillable washing up liquid, hand soap, laundry liquid and conditioner
Naked soaps, hair shampoo bars, toothpaste tablets and reusable sanitary products

Locally sourced products and local independent businesses - we have 27 of them in stock right now including Surya luna soaps and Taylor Made refills

Come and enjoy our relaxing and cozy cafe while you shop the zero waste way

Thank you to whoever nominated us for BEST CAFE with the Scottish Business Awards 2025

It means the world to our hard working team especially in the hard times we are all having ❤️

BUT … we will not be taking this further. We have never paid to be part of an awards or to win an award and don’t want to start now. We appreciate that the company who runs the awards have overheads but to pay this amount just to ENTER your business into the competition feels a little cheeky 🫣
