Today I got my much needed catch up with Jon Rhoden to help fill his infamous trolley with Easter Goodies that help bring cheer to the children spending their Easter in hospital.

Here at Tesco Inshes we have always known he is a true Highland Hero but this was recognised last weekend at The Highland Heroes award ceremony.

Not only did he get Healthcare Hero but also the Hero of Heroes award 🥳🥰 We are so proud to help support you in the wonderful work you do and, today, our catch up filled me with such laughter and joy that I left with a true sense of the person you are 😁

Been a very busy few weeks here at Tesco Inshes!! Lots of requests for donations including Healthy foods to Smithton P1/2 and a lovely Scottish themed raffle prize to Highland VIP Walking Group.

Cawdor Scouts received a raffle prize and some refreshments for their fundraiser, Millburn Academy Hub got Easter eggs for their Egg hunt, Charleston Academy pupils going to Tanzania got stationary to take with them on their travels to donate and Mikeysline got some Easter eggs and novelties for a hamper.

Today, Lots of Easter eggs heading out to Caley Girls, Beauly Rainbows/Brownies and to Milton of Leys nursery.

What a wonderful start to my Tuesday 🥰

We received two lovely cards and some biscuits from the wonderful pupils at Drakies Primary School to thank us for our donations to their recent school raffle.
They raised an amazing £844 towards school funds.
It’s so good to receive updates on any fundraising events and we are so happy to have been able to help here at Tesco Inshes ☺️

This fabulous donation is off to a fundraiser quiz night being held on 27th February at the Kings in Smithton.

All monies raised will be going to help spruce up the Gruffalo walk in memory of Albie who would have been 4 in April.

Daisy has been tirelessly fundraising in honour of her son to do something quite wonderful for the local area and we truly hope she makes her target.

On Thursday I had the pleasure of dropping off a donation of toiletries and food products to help support students struggling financially at the UHI. It’s always a pleasure to catch up with Kelly who helps coordinate the students’ welfare and we at Tesco Inshes are very proud to support and collaborate with you in whatever way we can. Supporting young people in our community is a very important part of the work we do in our store 🥰

If you were shopping in Tesco Inshes this morning you would have seen the very well behaved P2/3 class from Drakies Primary chatting to various staff members about their varying roles in our store.
They came armed with posters and questions for the different colleagues and also got a behind the scenes tour as well as a chance to work on some checkouts.
They were an absolute delight to have and a credit to their school

Last night I received an email from Jon (the pharmacy trolley legend at Raigmore hospital). He is currently on a well deserved break but is always thinking about the patients.

Once again he has decorated his infamous trolley and requested that I take along some sweeties for the children to enjoy whilst they stay at the children’s ward over the festive period.

What this wonderful man asks for, he gets 🥰 Have a very Merry Christmas Jon, your Tesco Inshes Santas Helper has delivered 🧑‍🎄 xx

Had a visit today from some P7 children from Raigmore Primary collecting money for their residential trip next year….they say a massive thank you to our customers for their generosity 🥰

Our first 3 trolleys of Toy Donations has headed out of the door with Roddy from The Rotary Club who have very generously agreed to distribute these toys following requests from Social Work to make sure that those most in need will receive gifts this Christmas 🎅

We would also like to thank our customers for donating a massive 1027kg of food donations to Blytheswood FoodBank as well as almost £250 while they were in for 3 days last week.

AND a massive thanks goes out to all of our animal loving customers. Once again our new SSPCA donation bin is full which means the animals in their care will also have a very Merry Christmas!!
