As many of you will know, our lovely Dianne is retiring from the Post Office , her last day being this Thursday 3rd Sept .. it’s going to be a very sad day for me personally, after working with her for over 25 years . I know lots of the Post Office customers will miss her greatly too.
This means the Post Office hours will be changing from Monday 7th September 2026
I realise that this will affect some of our much valued customers, but believe me, I’ve thought long and hard , to decide what hours I can manage on my own, and be able to sustain going forward ..
I really hope that most of you will still manage to pop in to do your business, during the hours I’ll be open .. I’d really appreciate your continued support- this is not going to be easy for me, on many levels .. and I really want the PO to be the best it can be, under the new circumstances.

FINAL preparations are being made by organisers to stage a very popular Moorlands agricultural show.
The 74th Ipstones Agricultural Show takes place on Saturday, August 29th at the recreation ground located off Church Lane.
The day will start with pony classes at 9am. However, there will be no jumping classes due to the hard ground. Judging of heavy horses, cattle, sheep and goats will begin at 10am.
The official opening will take place at 12pm by Judy Scott-Moncrieff.
Organisers have put together a wide range of entertainment for all the family led by the Mountain Bike Aerial Display Team.
The team has wowed crowds worldwide since 1996 and has the UK's top riders including former World and British Champions. Visitors will be amazed with flips, spins, hops, balancing tricks and other stunts.
They will be joined in the main ring attractions by the Mighty Smith Strongman Show.
Adrian Smith, 5th in the World's Strongest Man and three times Winner of UK's Strongest Man Competition, presents a show geared for family fun with visual humour and audience participation.
Other attractions include fancy dress parade; horticultural exhibition and competition; craft tent; dog show; Punch and Judy show; fairground; Memorial Hall exhibitions; chain saw sculpturing; Band; dog agility competition; a poultry and pets exhibition (subject to bird flu regulations) along with Unconventional Menagerie (exotic animals).
