We are a busy, friendly butcher shop with a strong local reputation for quality products and excellent customer service. We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Counter Assistant to join our team.

The Role: Counter assistant 20-30 hours (expecting to increase)
As a Counter Assistant, you’ll be the face of the shop—serving customers, handling orders, and helping keep everything running smoothly during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serving customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Weighing, packaging, and labelling products
• Taking and preparing customer orders
• Handling payments (cash and card)
• Keeping the counter and shop clean and well-presented
• Restocking displays and assisting with deliveries
• Supporting the butchery team when required

What We’re Looking For:
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A positive, can-do attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Previous retail or food handling experience is helpful but not essential (training provided)
