Cut the nonsense about wasting cheese because itâs âmouldyââŠ
Letâs bring a bit of common sense back into the conversation.
Cheese is mould. Thatâs not a flaw, itâs the whole point. From the moment milk becomes cheese, itâs alive, evolving, maturing⊠and yes, growing mould as part of that natural process.
What youâre seeing on the outside of a hard cheese? Thatâs usually just part of its journey.
If a bit goes too far for your liking, you donât throw the whole thing in the bin⊠you trim it back and crack on.

Weâve been conditioned to think food has to look perfect or itâs âoffâ. Real food doesnât work like that. Real cheese has character. It changes. It develops.
If youâre willing to eat it, and it smells right, tastes right, and looks like something youâd expect from a naturally aged product⊠itâs edible.
Stop wasting good food.
Start understanding it.
