We had the pleasure of supplying the KLA with a hog roast last night at the corn exchange for their end of school prom what a lovely set up they had and what great kids (young adults) they were all so polite what a great attribute they are to the school
Also a massive thanks to everyone involved in the organisation of the night hope you all had one to remember

The Porterhouse had it's local pork sausage of 2026 today. 10 local butchers given points for appearance, taste and worthiness for your English breakfast. The results are shown above well done to Van pelts of Norfolk Street for coming first and third with Bowers of Gaywood in second place. Thanks to all who took part.

Remembering
Just got home made myself a coffee talking to my wife about the day when realising it was 39 years ago I walked into van pelt as a somewhat fresh face teenager for my first interview not quite left school (exams pending)not really realising I was about to embark a lifetime of butchery now all these years later marriage and children to whom all pay such a significant part in the business I must thank
The van pelt name celebrated 90 years last year and I’d like to thank everyone involved in making it is what it is still today friends and staff alike
Taking over the business 23 years ago I’d just like to thank everyone for their continued support and for the future ahead
