As many of you know, I lost my beautiful wife, Julie, in 2024 to Motor Neurone Disease. It is a cruel and relentless illness that gradually robs a person of the ability to move, speak, eat, and eventually breathe — while their mind remains strong and aware. Watching someone you love endure this is truly heartbreaking. Tragically, there is still no cure.
In Julie’s memory, and for every family facing this devastating diagnosis, I’m taking on another challenge this year. Alongside four great friends — Brad, Darren, Colin and Tony — I’ll be cycling 500km to raise funds and awareness for everyone affected by MND.
This ride will be tough, but it’s nothing compared to the battle faced by those living with this disease every single day.
If you’re able to, please consider making a donation — no matter how small, every contribution makes a difference. It will help fund vital research, improve support for families, and bring hope for better treatments and, one day, a cure.
