Reminder that Loopy’s van is NOT out in Kinlochewe, Torridon, Shieldaig and Applecross this week.

The Local van in Lochalsh IS out and she will be round the villages today. On the van and in the shop we have Haddock, Cod, Hake, Sole, Monk, Herring, Smoked Haddock, Kippers, Smoked Mackerel, Peppered Mackerel, Hot smoked salmon, Fresh Salmon, Scallops, Seabass, Samphire.

Today’s specials - as Im not in the shop I believe Pan fried scallops are on the go!!!

Its Sgadan season!! First delivery has just arrived so we will have delicious fresh herring in the shop and on the vans tomorrow along with all our usual fresh fish and local shellfish (we have oysters in too). Open 10-5.30

The shop will be open from 10- after the maritime day, look out for some specials we hope to do, in the shop we have the black isle dairy ice cream in tubs, but our lovely Lexi will be running our stall at the lifeboat station where she will have ice cream - in cones for those who have missed it, and our cullen skink soup.

Fancy taking the weight off your feet to watch everyone go by or catch up with folk you havn’t seen in a while, sit at one of our benches for a local beer, wine or prosecco, and of course plenty soft and hot drinks available.

Maritime is always so lovely to see the seafront bustling with lots of things to do, so make sure to pop along.

Loopy’s fish van this week,

Tuesday - Local van - Kyleakin, Plockton areas, Dornie areas, Shiel areas. Loopy is in Kinlochewe, Torridon, Shieldaig and Applecross.

Wednesday - Van not out as attending a funeral. Shop will be open as normal, and a bit later for those heading onto the waverley. 10-6.

Thursday - Local van - Broadford, Torrin & Elgol, Loopy is in Achmore, Strathcarron, Kishorn, Achintraid, Lochcarron.

We also have a landing of local crab coming in, keep an eye out for those dressed crabs!!!

Shop is open 10-5 Tuesday to Friday, Saturday 10-Sell out. Our fish fridge is looking great and the shelves are stocked up. Building work has been happening outside, but we have that fenced off.

📣 A little note to our lovely customers!

We've been made aware of some fish vans consistently beeping loudly near schools during exams and in busy residential areas and we want to assure you, it's NOT us! 🐟🚐

We always try to be respectful of our surroundings, especially near schools, local communities and night shift workers. We'd never want to cause a disturbance during such an important time for students.

Loopy is running a bit late but is out today

Wednesday Fish van - reminder to our Breakish, Broadford and Sleat van customers that Murdo will NOT be out Wednesday 8th as he attends a funeral, If any Breakish / Broadford customers would like the van to call by on Thursday on our Torrin / Elgol run please pop me a message. Normal service for Murdo next week. Shop will be open as normal 10-5.

Rest of the week, Thursday van 1 is on the Lochcarron run and van 2 is on the Torrin / Elgol run.
