All hands on deck last night to get the first batch of Hoggs clipped before they head up to the hill for the summer. The natural grasslands on the hill gives the hoggets time to grow slowly and naturally - producing hardy sheep that are well adapted to our exposed landscape. Shearing helps to keep them cool and clean as we come into (hopefully) the warmer months. Keep an eye out for the shearing trailer if you are coming to visit us in the coming weeks 🐑
