Yesterday it was wet and I’d had two sleepless nights. The farm could wait… we just did what we could. Made the table nice, cooked a family meal, and went for an evening walk with the dogs. It was a domestic day, which are so needed sometimes. Just finding calm moments in all the jobs waiting for me

My toddler is really poorly and we had a sleepless night so no farm today. It was a not much going on kind of day. Lots of cuddles! There were a few moments I managed to sow some seeds and practice some drawing. We just did what we could manage today 💚

We had another lovely Sunday afternoon after being at the Rutland Show. Enjoying the countryside and then checking in on the gardens and noticing everything is in development. After some calm walks and talks it felt like a reminder that our very own future plans, hopes and dreams are all in development too 🌿

All the plants are officially in the ground apart from the lisianthus plants 🌱
Our stocks are really struggling with an aphid invasion right now, but to my delight, the first ladybirds have arrived to help! 🐞 Nature’s own little pest control 🐞 Praying for more ladybirds today 🙏🏻

My stomach was in knots watching the storm on my youngest seedlings. Seeing the calm return and being able to check on everything was a good feeling. Hopefully the flowers are tougher than I give them credit for!

It was sweltering hot today ☀️
But we finally tackled the front garden family mess. There is something so satisfying about working together to bring the calm back to our small home space 🌿

A roast dinner after church just hits different and so does a Sunday afternoon walk or two. Also spending time with our gathering family (farm church) to support each other whilst the flowers continue to grow is very special. Feeling blessed 🙏🏻

Another wonderful day on the farm 🌼
My heart is filled with gratitude and then finishing the day under a sunset with friends… that just brings it all together. I’m so onboard for embracing a quiet life 🌅
