🌸 Elderflower Season is Here! 🌸
This time of year the hedgerows are beginning to erupt with elderflowers and while the weather stays nice, what better time to get out and pick some for yourself?
For any of you feisty foragers making forays on the fragrant foliage for homemade fizz with friends or cordial with your comrades, look no further than Van's for delicious, organic lemons! 🍋 A must-have when making elderflower recipes.
We may also stock citric acid for said recipes if demand is high enough so please let us know in store if you need some.

It's feeling more like spring by the day! This lovely, sunny Wednesday morning don't forget that we have tons of organic veg, fresh locally baked bread and local milk delivered today.
As we get closer to summer, we will be stocking sun creams and a range of natural hayfever remedies, and as always an incredible selection of local honey!

Just a little reminder that we are having a little celebration in store tomorrow from 2 - 4pm to celebrate Di's retirement! 🥰 Join us in wishing her well for the next chapter!

We'll be offering a 10% discount between 2 & 4 as part of the celebration!

End of an era!!!

Last Thursday was Di's last official day in Van's after 38 years of hard work serving our community! Pretty much my entire life! It's hard to imagine the shop without her 💖 to say it was an emotional day is an understatement!

Thank you, Di, for everything you've given over the years - your warmth, kindness, humour, hugs, stability and dedication 💖 we're going to miss your daily presence, but we also know you'll be in to see us regularly!

We will be having a little gathering in celebration at the shop so that our customers and friends can pop in to wish her well on her retirement. Please join us between 2 - 4pm on Friday 17th of April for refreshments, discounts and to celebrate our wonderful colleague - Di Sharma 🎉💖🎉💖🎉💖

Fresh, organic fruit and veg delivery tomorrow and every Wednesday!

We love seasonal veg! And at this time of year two of our highlights are wild garlic and the reappearance of asparagus! Both arriving on our delivery tomorrow.

So many ways to use wild garlic - this is a classic pesto option. Olive oil, lemon juice, pine nuts, parmesan and wild garlic blitzed together! All available from the shop. Serve with pasta, roasted veg, grilled halloumi - whatever you fancy really! I didn't follow a recipe, just adjusted as I went - it was delicious! But there are lots of recipes online if you want to follow instructions 🥰

End of an era!!!

It’s Wednesday! That means fresh bread, milk and veg at Van’s today.
We’re getting a fresh batch of Seville Oranges with the veg today so if you missed out last week, make sure you stop by to get yours soon 🍊

If you have a regular milk order with us, please be sure to collect it! We’ve had an increasing number of wasted orders these last couple of weeks and may change the terms for standing orders to prevent waste.
