We're excited to see the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon back on our doorstep! If you're staying with us or planning to visit, please be aware that a convoy system will be in place from Llanwddyn village up to the lake from 10.30am, so travel will be slower than usual.

Hello folks, this is a difficult one to write. Due to an ever changing and very challenging new development in my personal life, I am making the difficult decision to delay restarting yoga classes. 🐸 One of our Rangers had a surprise encounter on one of the trails recently when this little chap decided to hop onto their shoe! 💚

At this time of year, common frogs are beginning to prepare for winter hibernation. As temperatures cool, they spend their time hunting for energy-rich prey such as snails, spiders and beetles, helping them build up the fat reserves needed to see them through the colder months.

When winter arrives, frogs like this one will often seek shelter beneath logs, leaf litter, rocks and mossy patches, where they’ll stay safe and protected until spring. 🌿

And don’t worry, after posing for a quick photo, this little visitor was safely relocated off the trail to a quieter spot away from foot traffic. 🐸
