With supermarkets now removing price caps on food, many shoppers are starting to see the real cost of what goes onto their plate.
For years, food has been driven by price wars. Cheaper, faster and mass produced. But when prices rise, it really makes you stop and think about what you’re actually paying for.
At The Butchery, we’ve never aimed to be the cheapest because premium quality, locally sourced produce (from our own farm) simply can’t be compared to mass-produced supermarket meat.
We work with our own local farm and other trusted local farmers, carefully source quality stock and focus on proper butchery, traceability, flavour and standards we’re proud to put our name to.
Yes, premium produce costs more but there’s a reason for that. Better welfare.
Better provenance.
Better flavour.
Better quality on your plate.
When you shop local, you’re not just buying meat, you’re supporting local farming, local jobs, and a food chain built on quality rather than compromise.
As the market changes, one thing won’t for us:
quality will always come first.
