We package our spice mixes in dark brown glass jars under an aluminium closure. Traditionally apothecaries and chemists use to distribute spices in brown glass jars. In equal measure, we are giving a nod to traditional heritage, but also we are protecting

the precious spices and botanicals for longer. In a world where climate change and carbon footprint are trending topics, we feel passionate about utilizing spices in a more resourceful matter, rather than them sitting in the cupboard spice graveyard. Fundamentally we are here to bring great taste, alchemy, historical references and well-being to the kitchen table.

The blend is earthy and warm; black pepper and caraway underneath, cloves and coriander on top. Honey brings sweetness that pulls all of that forward. Marinate chicken in both, put it on a BBQ, and what comes off the grill is golden and slightly caramelized in a way that has nothing to do with luck.

Happy World Environment Day… but what does this mean to you, as a consumer?

We think about this a lot at Camelēr, because when your whole brand is built on the land, you can’t afford not to. Our spices come from regenerative farms. We donate 1% of sales to reforestation. We track our carbon. We ask questions most brands don’t want to ask.

It starts from the very land these spices grow from, the farmland helps restore across Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Mali, Niger and Senegal, and the support goes far beyond just planting trees. It reaches the communities whose livelihoods depend on that land.

And honestly, it’s reassuring and hopeful to see so many other brands staying conscious about our environment in their day to day. We see you.

When most people hear “spice blend”, they think of one jar that does everything.

Persian cooking thinks differently.

In Farsi, advieh doesn’t mean a single spice. It means a spice mixture, but more specifically, a system.

The blend for rice is different from the blend for fish. Different again for stewing. Different for soups. Even desserts have their own.

Which says something quite beautiful about Persian food culture. It treats flavour with precision.

That way of thinking shaped five blends in the Camelēr collection, from Advieh-E Khoresh for stews to Advieh-E Halegh for baking and desserts.

The best thing you can make today with your child, is not complicated (at all!✨🐫)

This children’s day, (with how hot it is these days), it’s the best day for a healthy ice lolly!

Spiced honey, banana yoghurt, our Advieh-E Halegh, and something to pour the blend into, freeze it, and you’re done!

5-10 minutes of work (depends on how much the little hands wants to help🤭✨) and an hour of patience , that’s it.

There’s a difference between a roast that’s just… fine, and one you keep thinking about after.

Bahārat is that difference.

Warm, layered, and built to sit deep into whatever you’re cooking, especially anything going into the oven. It’s the kind of blend that doesn’t shout, but somehow everything tastes better because it’s there.

And that’s really the point.
