Welcome to the weekend! And what a wonderful weekend it looks like it will be… I am currently prepping Roman Peppers with dirty Freekej, To***co Onions & a spiced tahini sauce.. which believe me is DELICIOUS, lemon sole ceviche Peruvian style… dense prawns with burnt lime and several other goodies for an intimate evening in Crystal Palace.. these images are when we were setting up for a fundraiser to help save the from developers with .soundsystem and Andy and Natalie.. and next weekend we will be sipping sundowners on the good ship Papillion in Little Venice… there are a few seats left . Casey and Fiona had a great time cooking and sharing a fantastic Paella and oodles of Churros in Stoke Newington this weekend for lovely Robert’s Birthday.. beautiful garden, beautiful crowd and the weather held! Thank you for having us .newington we will come again! What a fantastic Longtable Supperclub we had at a couple of weeks ago with the wonderful amazing Sid and Bay 🤩it was great seeing you all and all those who handles I do not have! Hit me up with your handle in the comments and I can tag you too next time 😊 and in the meantime put 27/3/26 in your diaries for a fantastic Gaelic Knees up with the brilliant Will from and .stars we will be serving up the beef stew of all beef stews… with a vegan option to boot! Very excited about our first supper club of the year next Saturday 28/2/2026 (a few tickets left, link in bio) with back at Very lucky to have been able to visit Morocco late last year thanks to the lovely Lisa who gifted us some amazing nights .. such a beautiful Riad in a truly inspiring city; Marrakech.. Very pleased to be serving some of the results of that inspiration up next weekend .. herb and feta filo ci**rs, blood oranges, slow cooking.. .. I mean the food we ate there was out of this world.. do come ❤️

It’s been a week! Meal testing for a mother son birthday dinner; aubergines with miso glaze, sesame seeds and spring onions. Red peppers filled with lentil curry with apricots and a tahini sauce and onion to***co! Inventions with the contents of our first .. celeriac and Stilton mash, roast suede with onions, whole garlics and red chillies, and roast beetroot, chicory and Basil salad… the return of folk of the wood Burns Night at the .. it was fantastic .. sold out.. and the haggis, neeps and tatties and whiskey sauce Casey and Fiona served went down a storm.. weeping into my morning coffee 😢 RIP the inimitable Catherine O’Hara who’s accent in Schitts Creek is the best accent ever assumed by an actor ever! Buoyed by the dawn of Spring and delicious things to come.. our next Supper Club with back at on Saturday 28/2/26 ticket link in bio…. THIS January needed a GRAND finale n’est-ce pas!

Oh my word! What a box 📦 our first plums! Avocados, uk on the vine toms. Cavalo Nero, suede, two types of pots, broccoli, mango, apples, oranges, carrots, courgette, cauliflower. All rescued! 9.2 kg in total! 1 large fruit and veg box, 1 piece of plastic (cavalo Nero was in a bag) and all for £23.99 except I got a starters discount and so only paid £13.98 .. wish I had done this years ago! Now I need to get cooking!

YAY! They work… have so hated being at the mercy of micro plastics in my dishwashing! Spotted these at yesterday and tried them on an eco wash in my dishwasher (I know I know HUGE CORPORATIONS.. but ) and they worked.. dishes and all were squeaky clean (much improved from old skool ecover dishwasher tablets) thank you for getting my dishes clean without using microplastics!

Today is the 250th birthday of Jane Austen! As my lovely producer Fraser Marshall said ‘she doesn’t look a day over 60!’ 🤣 the reach of her writing may be unparalleled.. did you know there are 17 movie adaptations of Pride and Prejudice! I have included some in this post.. namely Bride and Prejudice, Pride and Pejudice and Zombies, Greer Garson as Elizabeth Bennet in the original movie version with Lawrence Olivier.. and all because I have just finished recording a fantastic novel of a similar name and that is ‘Pride and Peril’ which is part of the Mr&Mrs Darcy Mystery series published by and written by Carrie Brebis and it is excellent! As if Ms Austen wrote it herself… and today I am about to start recording ‘Suspense and Sensibility’ and I can’t wait.. if you love an audiobook, and a mystery and Jane Austen give it a listen! You could also check these out too

So much gratitude to for bringing these two amazing artists together and and for hosting such a beautiful conversation about the beauty of the base at the and for doing it today… on our 25th anniversary… Omar was the soundtrack to our courtship and Mark King and Level 42 were our adolescent faves before we met.. I had no idea the two were so entwined.. .. and of course had no idea that I would meet Mr McGlue etc etc.. we also saw Kerry James Marshall’s superb exhibition at the RA had a soufflé at the a delicious Rioja and some manchego at and topped it all off with a patty on the way home
