🎨 What better way to celebrate our market traders’ & makers’ personal development and achievements than by visiting the solo fine art exhibition Rhythms of Nature by .art in Clapham!

Congratulations to Julia Scott (seen here on the right) whose creative journey has been looking at landscapes and personal memories as influence in her work. Using a variety of mediums such as resins, alcohol inks, mixed media and etchings, she creates unique art pieces with intentional markings and others made purely by the inks and paints transforming canvases into morphing expressions.

The paintings are all on sale at the Omnibus Theatre in Clapham or you can catch her this Saturday at Venn Street Market!

Me and (maker of ethically sourced fine crystal jewellery) had a lovely evening at the Omnibus.. You can see Julia’s work on display until Sunday 31 May..

Our new KIMCHI stall is a perfect story for Sunday’s International Women’s’ Day..

Soojoo, the owner and producer of these artisan kimchi varieties, was first inspired by her Korean grandmother who fermented foods such as kimchi, doenjang and soy sauce in large clay jars called onggi. The jars were used before refrigerators and were made of clay allowing the foods to ‘breathe’ when stored underground or in cellars.

Through her jars her grandmother handcrafted the clean, refined flavours of Seoul-style kimchi. She showed us that the best flavours come from quality ingredients and uncompromising standards. The onggi she once used are now in Soojoo’s father’s garden - see photo 2.

We have a new trader in Clapham Town - from the legendary in Bermondsey, serving their delicious Wild Mushroom soup with optional shavings of Black Truffle.

The Wild Room are experts in wild mushroom and foraged greens across the UK and around the World – and are bringing some of their range to the Venn Street Market on Saturdays. 🍄‍🟫

Black Truffles are available alongside jars of Truffle Tartufata and Truffle Honey - tasters available..

On the stall you will see an array of seasonal foraged greens, such as Sea Kale, Three Cornered Leak, Sea Purslane, Salty Fingers and Cold pressed Sea Buckthorn foraged from Scotland in glass bottles - the most beneficial antioxidant & medicinal drink anywhere!

They offer a high quality range of dual extract tinctures: Lions Mane, Cordycep, Reishi, Turkey Tail and Chaga - each with its own properties that aid restoring health & wellbeing.. 🧘

You’ll find them opposite the cinema doors of Clapham Picturehouse
