Some time Gatluak Buom Pal has the right in some points that debated with Christian, but at this point that Moses Abebe posted is a bad point and disappointing to many believers and members of the community.
I hope that from the day Moses Abebe wrote this post, he has never attended any conference or program from Jekow Woreda, Itang Woreda, Makuey Woreda, Lare Woreda, Mathiang County, Maiwut County, Pagak, or any land of Gaajaak, because such words do not represent the spirit of unity and coexistence that these communities have always promoted.
And when we come to where Moses Abebe or Tharjiath Gatkuoth grew up, Moses grew up in Itang Woreda. Even respected spiritual leaders such as Pastor Simon Deng Lual, whose family is connected to the Gaajaak community, have always stood for peace, reconciliation, and unity among Christians. They never used the name of God to create division or humiliate communities. Even Bol Ter and Jecob Nhial Bulek can never do that.
This raises an important question: where did this spirit that Moses Abebe has originated from?
Moses once inspired thousands through powerful worship songs such as:
“Puɔ̲th Akɛ nɛy ti̱n ca mɛ̱̈ɛ̱̈k tin bi̱ wë cäŋkuäärä Kuoth kɛnɛ nɛy diaal ti̱n ca rɔ ya̱c kɛ thuɔ̲k.”
Where did Moses get this spirit while he once sang such a meaningful song like this?
In this song, which means “Promise,” Moses Abebe talked about commitment to Christ. When a person promises to follow Christ, it means leaving behind division based on tribe, community, or identity such as Gajiook, Gaajaak, Ciëë-Cany, or any other background. Christianity is meant to unite people, not divide them.
And again, there is another song that says:
“Ca duɔ̲p tëkä lɛp, jɛn ca jɛ lɛp kɛ kui̱ nɛni̱ diaal mi̱ go̱ri̱ jɛn ɛn duɔ̲ɔ̲p ɛmɔ, ji̱n /cu gal ji̱n /cu gal go̱rɛ jɛn nɔ̲ ca lɛp.”
Which way is Moses Abebe talking about? Is it the way of Heaven where Gaajaak are not on that road, or is it the way of Nasir?
If Moses continues to emphasize identity in a way that separates the Nuer community, then many people will question the message of salvation he is preaching. The name of the Lord should never be used in a manner that creates conflict or weakens unity among believers.
Let every word spoken by believers creates a good path for the Almighty to be remembered, respected, and praised by the community.
Moses, please repent before time. The Almighty needs true believers whose words reflect peace, wisdom, humility, and unity not statements that create misunderstanding among people.
