Bigger is better, as the old saying goes - and in this case, it’s hard to argue.

Despite fregola translating from Italian as “crumb”, this is gloriously giant couscous: a chef-grade semolina pasta from Sardinia.

A bit late to this one, but after listening to last week’s Talking Rubbish episode (featuring someone from The Plastic Detox), I wanted to share a quick thought…

I actually enjoyed the documentary - and was so happy for the participants who became pregnant - but the way plastic was portrayed felt a bit… oversimplified.

There’s so much more to the story. Things like diet and everyday lifestyle choices can play a huge role too, but they barely got a mention.

From what we’ve seen at Yoyo, people are up for a more balanced, honest conversation about materials. It’s not about “plastic = bad” or “paper = good” it’s more nuanced than that.

Even some of our most eco-conscious customers (the ones who were very anti-plastic!) came around when we explained the benefits: how lightweight something is, how many times you can reuse it etc
