Meet Madeline, who found her purpose again at the John Storer House helpdesk!

After retiring at 65, she discovered something was missing. So she came back to volunteer – and hasn't looked back since. ✨

"It keeps me going, otherwise I think I'd just sit at home and stagnate"

From welcoming visitors to lending a listening ear, Madeline is the friendly face at our helpdesk. She's there to help with whatever people need – even if it's just a chat over coffee ☕

The best part? The PEOPLE. "I'm a people person. I'm no good at being on my own."

And those volunteer appreciation events? 🎉 "The staff served US – about 126 volunteers! It was lovely. Everybody enjoyed it. It's always a lovely atmosphere to work in."
