A little bit of good news from Fosse.

We’ve been looking at how we can make ordering from Fosse easier and better value, without changing anything about the way we farm.

So, from today, delivery is £6.50 when you spend £40 or more, reduced from £12.99.

It means you don’t need to wait for a big shop. A chicken for Sunday lunch, a few favourites for the week, or something for the BBQ.

The same Fosse. The same farming. A better way to get it from our farm to your table.

Turkey check-in 🦃

Four weeks after heading out onto pasture, Nick is checking in on this year’s Fosse Meadows turkeys.

Now around 11 weeks old, the stags are growing quickly and making their way through the pasture, eating the grasses and clovers, while the hardy chicory is still standing strong.

They’re slow-growing birds, with plenty of space to roam, forage and follow Nick around the field.

And as Nick says, turkeys grow remarkably fast. Fortunately for them, we’re not farming blue whales.

Looking pretty happy to us.

Meet the Fosse protection team 🐾

This is Polar, one of Nick and Jacob’s Maremma livestock guardian dogs.

Originally bred in Italy to protect livestock from predators, at Fosse her job is protecting the chickens, patrolling the farm and keeping an eye out for foxes, crows and anything else getting too close.

They’re brilliant working dogs, but famously independent and not always easy to train. At three, Polar has pretty much got it.

Panda, at 15 months? Still a little work to do…

Just another part of life at Fosse Meadows.

Early morning at Fosse.

Nick was out walking through the pasture first thing this morning when a few of the younger residents appeared...

Our young turkeys, happily making their way through the long grass, exploring, pecking and foraging as they go.

They’ve got plenty of space, plenty to investigate and, judging by this lot, they’re settling in nicely.

Not a bad way to start the day.
