FWAG SW are once again offering a farm waste plastic recycling scheme across 13 collection sites in Dorset, Somerset and Devon this spring.
We provide farmers with a responsible, environmentally sound way to recycle plastic, preventing it from going to landfill. The scheme is simple and straight forward, with no membership fees so farmers only pay for the plastic they bring.
Please visit our website to book your slot

⚠️ Nematodirus Alert!⚠️

🐑 We have already had a confirmed case of Nematodirus Battus in a 7 week old lamb in the South Molton area. Although we don’t usually see a rise until late spring, the recent wet and very mild weather has meant that the eggs are hatching earlier than expected.

🐑 Lambs from 6 weeks of age are at most risk. The SCOPS forecast is an useful tool to predict when there will be a mass hatch in your area but be aware it might vary based on farm altitude and farm/field history.

🐑 Those at a high risk should treat their lambs now and not wait until clinical signs are seen. For further advice please do not hesitate to contact your local branch.

If you live in the South West please do share to let as many people know as possible. Thank you ☺️
