Evening everyone 🌱🍓

Just been for a quick evening walk around the strawberries, and we’ve got so much fruit coming through now!

The cold weather a few weeks ago really slowed everything down, and it felt like they were taking forever. But this recent spell of warm weather has given them a real boost, and they’re finally starting to catch up.

Now we just need a bit more sunshine and patience while they ripen. ☀️

It won’t be long before we’re welcoming you all back to the Strawberry Mile for Pick Your Own.

Who’s excited for fresh, juicy strawberries? 🍓❤️

🌸 On our walk to collect the car this morning, we wandered through the wildflower field.

Farmer Rupert was on flower-picking duty and carefully chose all these beautiful blooms for Mummy. ❤️

It’s amazing what you can find when you slow down and take a look around. The wildflower field is absolutely bursting with colour at the moment, and Rupert thought Mummy deserved a bouquet picked by hand.

I think he did a pretty good job, don’t you? 🌼🌷🌸

Hungover Farmer Dan is currently walking to collect his car from a neighbour’s after an amazing party last night! 🍻😂

But if you’re going to do the walk of shame, you might as well turn it into a field walk too…

And what a pleasant surprise it was. The sunflowers are looking fantastic and really starting to get going. 🌻

This field was drilled using a no-till system straight into a rye and vetch cover crop. Instead of ploughing and cultivating, the cover crop was rolled down to create a thick mulch across the soil surface.

The benefits are already showing:
✅ Helping suppress weeds
✅ Locking in valuable moisture during this dry spell
✅ Protecting the soil
✅ Feeding soil biology

There’s still plenty to learn, but so far we’re really happy with how the sunflowers are looking.

Not a bad way to recover from a party… although the head might disagree! 🤣🌻

We’ve been back up to the pumpkin patch to see how many pumpkins are popping up!

It took 4 days to plant the patch this year because we’ve drilled it in a very particular way to make it look absolutely stunning by October.

The first section we drilled was our traditional orange pumpkins… and we’re delighted to say they’ve germinated in less than 5 days! 🌱🎃

Seeing those first seedlings emerge is always a special moment and a sign that pumpkin season 2026 is officially underway.

As far as we know, we’re the first farmers in the UK to drill pumpkins this way. It’s something we’ve spent a lot of time planning and trialling, and we can’t wait to show you the results.

We’ll explain exactly what we’ve done and why in another video very soon.

Who’s excited to see how this patch develops over the next few months? 👀🎃

Good morning, Libby’s Patch fans 🌸

First job of the day is getting our 200 dahlias out into the field.

We picked them up a few weeks ago and they’ve been sitting in quarantine while we kept a close eye on them — and thankfully they’ve come through perfectly with no signs of disease and some great growth.

With rain forecast next week, it’s the ideal window to get them planted and give them the best start possible.

And yes… no digging with forks today 😅 just getting them straight into the ground as efficiently as we can.

It’s all part of building up another colourful display for the farm later in the season, and we can’t wait for everyone to see them in full bloom.

Who loves a dahlia display? 🌸👇

Well, just 5 days after planting, we have our very first pumpkins making an appearance! 🎃🌱

This is a pretty amazing day for Farmer Dan.

With a new drill, new growing methods, and a new seed supplier, it’s been a nerve-racking few days wondering if everything would go to plan.

But it looks like the 2026 pumpkin crop is officially underway!

Now comes the hard part – keeping them growing strong and hoping Mother Nature is kind to us over the coming months.

Who else gets excited seeing those very first seedlings pop through the soil? 👇

Well farmer Dan had a little accident today 😬

He was putting the tractor trailer tailgate back on and while he was “persuading” it into place… it suddenly dropped and caught his hand.

There was plenty of blood, a few choice words and a very quick plaster job by farmer Dan himself 🤦‍♂️

Luckily Mrs GTL was around later to properly clean it up and sort it out properly because farmer Dan’s first aid skills mainly involve electrical tape and hoping for the best

Well this hurts…
