The end of the summer holidays and back to school - but that means we can get excited for autumn! We spotted a few autumn inspired pieces popping up at Treacle Market last month, so we're sure there will be even more on the 27th September, don't forget it will be the famous dog show too!

Well yesterday luck was on our side and the rains held off long enough for us all to have a brilliant day for our August Treacle Market. We saw lots of people singing, lots of dogs having photoshoots (and Luna the ferret!), lots of treats being eaten and lots of happy shoppers on the cobbles of Macclesfield. As always a huge thank you to the Treacle Team, volunteers, staff and our wonderful traders!
Let us know what goodies you bought and keep tagging us in your photos!
Also don't forget to hop over to Rolph & Co on Facebook to vote for your favourite photo from the day!

The monthly announcement from St Michael's Church who support Treacle Market every month -
"Sunday, 30th August - St Michael’s Church in the Market Place will be open for an informal Morning Service at 10.00am - everyone is very welcome to join our congregation. At 11.30am the Church will remain open for visitors to Treacle Market should they wish to look around our historical Church including the Savage Chapel, which will also be open for private prayer.
Also, we are manning a Recycle-Re-Use Stall in the Churchyard and any proceeds will go to Tear Fund - do come along and have a look for a bargain.
And finally, our Cafe will be open from 11.30am until 2.00pm where we will be serving hot and cold drinks and biscuits.
We look forward to meeting you and hope you enjoy your visit to Macclesfield."

We know it's set to rain tomorrow, but Treacle Market still goes ahead (it's only high winds that halt play)! Please remember to support the local businesses and eateries on the high street, who open specially - they'll be more than happy to look after you as you nip in and out between showers and shopping! The music will still play and the free photoshoot will be in the *dry* Butter Market - so make sure you bring your brolly and we'll see you from 10am!

There's always something new at Treacle Market from seasonal produce and makes, pop up events, changing stalls, new products and art, and always something to celebrate.
This month we have Rolph & Co Photography in the Butter Market taking free pet photoshoots and sharing a competition, don't forget to pick up a flyer for info about next month's Dog Show. There's also the brilliant Macclesfield Majestic Theatre Group promoting their new musical rendition of Legally Blonde, plus Anthony Dalton - Chris Stapleton Tribute will be back this month - hopefully with a little tribute or two to Dolly Parton!
Plus this month Becky and Andy will have been in charge of the brilliant Treacle Market for 5 years! They've achieved so much in that time, we've seen Treacle grow and grow and never lose its community heart and love for Macclesfield. Treat them to a b**r if you see them - it's a long old day on a Treacle Sunday!
Don't forget there's always plenty happening on Macclesfield high street, in the local bars and restaurants, the independent shops and businesses and more, who open especially for a Treacle Market day. Please do take the time to explore and enjoy our beautiful town and all it has to offer. See you all Sunday!

Food glorious food at Treacle Market, this Sunday 30th August. From local sweet treats and hand made cheeses to hot food to eat in-between shopping and seasonal produce to take home. Plus there are 140+ excellent stalls filled with antiques and vintage, art and collectibles, food and produce, cakes and pastries and ready to eat food, candles and ceramics, plants and clothing and everything in-between - it really takes a whole day to explore it all! So get your shopping bags ready, tell your friends you'll meet them for coffee first, or lunch in-between or the pub after, make a shopping list (if you can stick to it?!) and get excited about another Treacle Market Sunday πŸ’š
