JJJ Heathcote Limited

JJJ Heathcote Limited Traditional purveyors specialising in meats, cheeses, and other fresh farm produce from local Cheshire and Derbyshire farms.

Over One-hundred and thirty years in Bollington…

Traditional established family purveyors of meat, poulterers, and licensed dealers of game in the small east Cheshire town of Bollington, perfectly positioned in-between the the Peak District and the lush rolling Cheshire Plain. We specialise in high quality, excellent tasting, traditionally prepared meats, homemade sausages, home cooked meats, En

glish cheeses, and fresh free range eggs. We also stock a wide variety of tasty pickles and condiments, along with seasonal greens, root vegetables and fruits. We are renowned for our homemade, hand knotted and naturally skinned sausages made to our very own recipes, as well as our dry, home cured bacons. All of our beef is hung for at least 14 days, allowing it to mature enough to develop the best possible textures and flavours. We have well established strong links with local farmers, going back many generations, enabling us to to visit regularly and keep a rare, direct and friendly relationship. Our meat is sourced from local Cheshire, Derbyshire, and Staffordshire farms, and slaughtered at a small, family owned rural Cheshire abattoir, meaning that the meat you buy from Heathcote’s is as local as White Nancy – from field to fork! We have appeared in the Guardian’s Good Food Guide, the UKTV Food Channel guide, and listed as one of Rick Stein’s Food Heroes. For Easter or Christmas periods, please beat the rush and telephone or visit us now to see what we will have for the festive season! Free range traditionally reared Cheshire Turkeys, Geese, a selection of hams and cut joints, seasonal greens and root vegetables, and much much more… You can place the order, and update it at anytime, feeling comfortable that your order will be ready to collect on the date you request.*

Where to find us:

We provide ample parking for customers. We offer free delivery on request to the neighbouring vicinity. We do provide bags free of charge, however we like to encourage our customers to recycle and bring their own to reduce waste, be it a bag or a basket. We have a selection of attractive, traditional branded shopping bags on sale for a small cost, with donations going to the East Cheshire Hospice.

At Heathcote’s , the Union Flag flies proudly outside our shop, and has done for many years. To us it's not just a symbol of national pride, it’s a tribute, first to the fallen soldiers of both World Wars. Many of our family members, across generations, made the ultimate sacrifice during these dark times, and we are forever grateful.

We remember those who fought from this town with bravery, many of whom never returned home. Some of our own relatives were among them—young men who left for the front lines, never to return.

Additionally, it's to support British produce and farmers. We've had the flag flying on the shop and painted on the side of the vans for many years.

We're very much aware that there's a lot of talk about the flag being politicised, however it's important to note that we have customers, new and old, and family members across the political spectrum, from up and down the country, from the commonwealth, and other countries and we are always happy to serve them.

From all at Heathcote’s
