An update from the Cherry field!
Charlotte is doing a quick walk round the field in between the rain, we’ve had plenty of it the last few days which the trees are really happy for. We are still 3 weeks away from opening for PYO 🍒
Keep your eyes on our pages and as soon as we have an opening date we will announce it! chegworthcherries

While the early crops are looking great in the heated glasshouse, a lot of the other plants have been patiently waiting to be planted out. We’ve held off planting some of them due to cold nights, as we didn’t want to risk losing any plants because of frost. However this week is finally getting warmer, which means the team will be very busy planting 🌱

Due to popular demand, we’ve got some more tomato plants available at the markets this weekend. So if you missed them last week, make sure you make your way down to your local London market this Saturday or Sunday! We’ve even got a few cucumber plants, though those are sure to go very quickly. Plant them on as soon as possible, as they will all need some more space to grow 🍅🥒

Hello Cherry Lovers, we’re out in the orchard today assessing the crop 🍒🍒 There’s a great set here, plenty of fruit, it’s looking really good. We’ve been out pruning the orchards, the bees have done their job 🐝Some of these cherries will run off in the next few weeks, it’s the trees way of naturally thinning itself.
Ben says we’ll be opening in 8 weeks but he’s getting a bit ahead of himself, it’s more likely to be 10! We can’t wait to welcome you back to the field this year, it’s going to be a fruitful one! 🍒🍒🍒

Once the seeds are sown, the seedlings raised and then planted, it is so exciting to see all our efforts starting to bear fruit. Literally. The first lot of cucumbers in the glasshouse have gotten off to a cracking start and it won’t be long now until you see our lovely cucumbers at the markets! 🥒
