Join us on Saturday 27th January for our first evening dining event of 2024 at the Cowdray Farm Shop Café, created and led by head chef Curtis Wingate 🍽️⁠

On what promises to be a delicious seasonal feast inspired by local ingredients and the surprising bounty of the season, guests will be welcomed with either a glass of The Kings Fizz or a St Clements accompanied by Stefano’s freshly baked focaccia. Highlights of the three-course meal include handmade Cowdray spinach and ricotta agnolotti, a duo of Cowdray venison, pan-fried loin and cottage pie and for the vegetarian option, a delicious fermented chilli cauliflower steak, Sussex charmer and cauliflower gratin.⁠

All finished with a delicious dessert of brown sugar custard tart with Susanna and Daughter’s kefir ice cream.⁠

The Food Standards Agency has informed us that they are issuing a precautionary recall of all Kirkham's Lancashire cheese sold since the 1st of October 2023. We have been provided with the following advice from our supplier:

If you have purchased Kirkham's Lancashire Cheese from Cowdray Farm Shop since 1st October 2023, please follow this precautionary advice and do not eat the cheese.

If you have eaten the cheese, please be assured that the risk is extremely low. We are issuing this advice with an abundance of caution.

If you still have some or all of the cheese, please follow this precautionary advice. For our Farm Shop customers, we can issue refunds when we reopen on 28th December.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Ring in the New Year with a little help from Cowdray🥂⁠

After the Christmas closure, our team is well-rested and ready to assist you in the lead-up to New Year's. The Farm Shop and Cowdray Lifestyle will be open from 9am to 3pm on New Year's Eve, while the Farm Shop Café will be open from 8am to 3pm for takeaway coffee, as well as breakfast and lunch inside. Please note that all businesses will remain closed on New Year's Day but will resume normal working hours on 2nd January.⁠

The Farm Shop will be open earlier than usual on the 23rd of December, from 7am until 6pm, to help you get any last-minute essentials. On Christmas Eve, the Farm Shop will open from 8am. ⁠

Please note that all Farm Shop businesses will close at 3pm on 24th December and will reopen after three days on Thursday, 28th December, after the team have enjoyed a well-deserved rest. ⁠

It's tomorrow! Join us at Cowdray Farm Shop, Café & Lifestyle for our Christmas Tasting Weekend on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th of November.

Open each day from 9am to 3:30pm, enjoy delicious festive food and seasonal samples from the Cowdray Farm Shop kitchen, bakery and butchery, pet and ride our donkeys, and meet the suppliers while listening to live music from Baby Eleanor. On the day there will also be a chance to enter our raffle for Kent Sussex Surrey Air Ambulance, our Estate charity for 2023 to win a variety of prizes from across the Estate.
