It’s time for an update…

So after a monumental effort from hordes of incredible volunteers, friends and family, the space that was once my business is looking a whole lot better.

If all goes to plan then I hope to get the deli reopened by December, albeit on a slightly reduced capacity. The coffee shop will remain closed until at least January.

Despite posting this, I know I am exceedingly lucky and feel for those who have lost far more than me and my business. If anyone needs any help at all please do get in touch.

I will post again early next week with a further update.

Everyone has worked so hard and the amount of support and kindness has been overwhelming. I have tried to respond to every message to express my gratitude, and can only apologise to anyone missed but thank you so much to everyone.

Apologies for the delay in updating things. Has been a full on 36 hrs starting with closing early on Friday afternoon to the very understated sign now in the window.

The shop has been less impacted than others but everything has been flooded so clear up has started today. Floor and all fittings have all gone and will attempt a deep clean to get the place safe to open as soon as we can.

I consider myself fortunate as due to our elevated position, we missed out on the levels of destruction seen around us. So if any businesses or people need assistance in anyway please reach out. Also our coffee machine is on so if anyone needs a refuel or simply a chat please pop by.

Massive thank you to all the kind words, support and offers of assistance. It’s incredibly humbling and no words can expressive my gratitude enough.

I am very proud to have a shop in Monmouth and hope to get reopen as soon as I can.

On a plus side I discovered the sign I planned to use for my post is now famous appearing on the BBC website. Head of Creative Management and Design will be impressed when then find out!!
