Lovely and I are taking a little break, so stepping in for a couple of days is my brother-in-law Stuart 😊
Some of you may already know him as he has covered in the shop before and probably had a good chat with him too! As we don’t take time off very often, he might need a little patience while he finds his way around everything again.

The shop will be open:
Monday 8th June – 10am–2pm
Tuesday 9th June – 10am–2pm

Then it’ll be back to normal hours and me back in the shop on Thursday 11th 😊

Looking for a sustainable way to refresh the toy box or wardrobe? ♻️👕🧸

Plastic Free Wenlock is hosting a Clothes & Toy Swap at Holy Trinity Church on 6th June. Bring along good-quality clothes and toys you no longer need and swap them for something new-to-you!

There'll also be tea and cake available, making it the perfect opportunity for a catch-up while supporting a more sustainable community. 🌿☕

Pop the date in your diary and come along for a browse, a swap, and a slice of cake!

Lovely and I will be revamping the front of the shop over the coming weeks, as well as finally tackling the snag list inside that I’ve been putting off for far too long!

Lovely has already done an amazing job over the Bank Holiday stripping back the lintel and getting the first coats of undercoat on… phew, it was a warm one in that heat! 🥵🎨

Nothing too dramatic, just a little TLC to keep the old girl looking her best. If you spot ladders, paint tins, or the occasional bit of organised chaos, you'll know why!

Well, if the weather is perking up like they say, it can only mean one thing… BBQs in the garden! ☀️🔥

And what better way to light your fire than with Desert Woods charcoal. A truly local charcoal made just the other side of Bridgnorth, using horses rather than heavy machinery to work in the woodland. That means bluebells, wood anemones and all the other beautiful woodland flora and fauna are far less disturbed than they would be by a huge honking great tractor tearing through 🌿🐴

A customer brought these in to refill today, and I thought I’d do a quick comparison with the supermarket 👀

At Tesco, Parsley and Ground Coriander were both £1.10 each.

Here at Simple:
🌿 Parsley refill = 30p
🌿 Ground Coriander refill = 93p

That’s a saving of 97p just by refilling! Small swaps really do add up 💚
