As we are drawing into autumn and the dark cosy nights will soon be here, we are having a break from Cheese of the Week and decided to showcase some of our different products, this week we thought we’d start with our bread making range.

We stock a variety of different flours including a gluten free option, as well as dried yeast and Pasta & Pizza Flour. We also sell several other items you may need for making bread including butter, Olive Oil, Milk and eggs.

Y-Fenni is a semi-hard Welsh cheese that’s made with mature cheddar that is blended with whole grain mustard seeds and ale.

This week we’re focusing on Black Bomber, made by the Snowdonia Cheese Company.

Black Bomber was their first cheese and is still crafted using their original recipe. It is a multi-award-winning extra mature Cheddar that combines amazing creaminess with intense, deeply savoury flavour notes.

Cheese of the Week

This week we’re focusing on Shropshire Blue. It’s a sharp, creamy and slightly sweet cheese with striking blue veins. Perfect served with some a fig jam or chutney and a Rye sourdough Cracker.

Did you know despite its name, Shropshire Blue is not actually made in Shropshire! It was created in Scotland and was originally called Blue Stuart or Inverness-shire Blue, it was later change to Shropshire Blue to boost sales and sound more traditionally English. It is now primarily made in Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.
