Love Your Local Market 2026 may be over, but what a fantastic campaign it was! 🥳

Let's recap some of the highlights...

We had a great day at the Reading Tent on Saturday, and it was wonderful to see so many people come along and get involved. We also had the pleasure of meeting the winners of our Story Writing Competition and celebrating their fantastic entries 📚✍️

We also counted the votes for our Trader Awards and are delighted to announce the winners:
Children's Choice Award - The Sweet Shop Nantwich 🏆
Nantwich's Favourite Stall – The little cottage garden cheshire 🏆

A huge congratulations to both winners, and thank you to everyone who voted!

We're also pleased to share that our Nantwich Market Loyalty Scheme has been a huge success. The winner of our first prize draw has now been chosen 🎁

Due to the popularity of the scheme, we've decided to continue it permanently!

🛍️ Spend £5 or more at participating market stalls to receive a stamp. Collect all 8 stamps and post your completed loyalty card, along with your contact details, into the market post box to be entered into our monthly prize draw.

What a way to finish Love Your Local Market 2026! 🎉📚

On Saturday, our Reading Tent was buzzing with activity as we celebrated the National Year of Reading. We welcomed lots of visitors throughout the day, with many stopping by to meet the Gruffalo and Peter Rabbit.

There was plenty of excitement during story time with the Mayor Of Nantwich, who read out the winning entry from our story writing competition, and our rhyme time session had everyone singing along and having fun! 🎶✨

It was amazing to see so many people reading, sharing stories and enjoying everything the Reading Tent had to offer. We even managed to snap a picture of some of our traders with the Gruffalo during the day! 📸🌲

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success! ❤️

The Reading Tent will be open from 10am to 2pm and will feature a wonderful range of books and activities for children and families to enjoy throughout the day.

10.30am – 11am: Storytime with The Gruffalo
11am – 11.30am: Storytime with Peter Rabbit 🐰
11.30am: The Mayor reads the winning story from the Story Writing Competition 👑
12pm: Rhyme Time with Hullabaloo Kids
1pm – 2pm: Design your own bookmark 🎨

To celebrate Love Your Market, you can pick up a Nantwich Market Loyalty Card from one of our traders and receive a stamp for EVERY purchase made at the market until this Saturday 30th May!

Do you know all of the ways you can get involved in celebrating Nantwich Market and its traders as part of the Love Your Local Market 2026 campaign? 🎉

We’re launching a brand new loyalty card scheme during the campaign. Collect eight stamps from any purchases made at the market and post your completed card into the Loyalty Card Post Box from 16th May 2026 for the chance to win Nantwich Market vouchers to spend! Please make sure your name and contact number are included on your card to enter.

We are also giving market visitors the opportunity to recognise their favourite trader in our Trader Awards! Award categories include Nantwich’s Favourite Stall and the Children’s Choice Award. Voting is available inside the market and online until 30th May! 🏆

We’ll also shortly be announcing the winner of our children’s story writing competition, where children were invited to submit a short story alongside an original illustration, with the winning entry set to be displayed in Nantwich Market and read out by the Mayor of Nantwich on Saturday 30th May. 📚
