CLOSING DOWN STATEMENT
Sole Butchers will be closing for good this Saturday 4th July.
Despite a huge effort on the part of everyone involved, we have been unable to sustain the business against a backdrop of rising costs, reduced footfall and other external factors.
We would like to say a massive thank you to our wonderful team, Chris, Clarice, Zoe and Ellie, who have stuck with us these past few months and given their all in helping us to try and make the shop a success. Sadly, despite all our efforts, it was not to be.
We would also like to say a huge thank you to our customers, who have continued to support us since we re-opened in December. A huge thank you also to other local businesses to whom we have supplied – The Horse & Groom, The Watercress Line, The Flower Pots, Candover Valley Stores and The Candover.
No doubt there will be the usual rumour and speculation, as there was back in November. Unfortunately, we have no control over what some people might choose to think. Sadly, there will also be some people jumping for joy at this news. Again, there’s not a lot we can do about that.
However, to finish on a positive note, we have plenty of stock to shift before we close for good on Saturday, so come in and grab yourselves some bargains while you can. Once they're gone they are most definitely gone!
